Awais Maqsood, DPM

Awais Maqsood is a passionate and skilled podiatry physician who has joined Advanced Foot Care. He holds a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University, a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Long Island University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stony Brook University. During his time as Chief Resident at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine, Dr. Maqsood led a team of residents, coordinated educational sessions, facilitated quality improvement initiatives, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Dr. Maqsood has a unique background in teaching prior to pursuing medicine, which he utilized during his residency and intends to incorporate into his practice to ensure patient education. His surgical expertise spans a wide range of techniques and approaches, allowing him to deliver the best possible outcomes for his patients in both elective and trauma cases.
